MacroMotion.ca, earlier known as Quality Cylinder Service Ltd.,
started its cylinder repair business in Burlington Ontario since 1986 initially
aiming at providing service in the steel company in Hamilton Ontario area. Soon
the company got acknowledged as a top class cylinder mending house and the business
expanded too quickly for having few competitors in that sector.
During 1989, the whole business was handed over to some
local persons by the founder, Mr. Bob Macleod and the company name was
instantly changedto Quality Hydraulic Service & Machining Ltd. because of
providing custom machining service at the same time of focusing on cylinder
repair.
In 1991, business in steel mills dried up and therefore, the
company fell into insolvency in 1993. Then Mr. Macleod rearranged the required
assets andstarted the company newly as Macleod Hydraulic Service &
Machining Ltd.
Later, in April, 1995, the company was handed over to John
and Paul Priestner. In the meantime, the company had expanded its business into
hydraulic pump and motor repair, valve repair, online service as well as
hydraulic troubleshooting outside steel mills.
In the year 1997, the company turned into an authorized
Parker Hydraulics Distributor. Then it was converted into a fully service
hydraulic house and since then, the company was renamed as MacroMotionHydraulics Inc.
Since the early new millennium, this business incorporation
vigorously started selling Parker Hydraulics, designing and constructing system
and power units, repairing mostly anything hydraulic and producing customized
cylinder. In 2005, the corporation became an authorized distributor for Numatics.
In 2011, MacroMotion Inc. became an authorized distributor
for Asco Valve brand. This incident contributed the company the power to embark
on a terrestrial enlargement into the GTA. Presently, the corporation covers
the whole Golden Horseshoe, from Nanticoke through Brantford and Niagara
through Mississauga.
During 2012, the corporation officially altered its
operating name to MacroMotion Fluid Power so that it could reveal more
precisely the diversity in its basic product offering. Today the corporation
has switched into a full service fluid power company that offers hydraulic
machineries, pneumatic products, pump and component repair, solenoid and
process valves, accessories, cylinder repair, 27/4 on-site service, power
units, routine fluid power maintenance services and filter changes, engineered
systems and integrated safety system that acts in accordance with the Ministry
of Labor and workplace safety commands.
